About Me

There were times when situations took place that affected his motivation to continue. Times when he had worked so hard, he didn’t know how he would continue pushing forward. That was until he found not only his passion, but his calling and that was to make music. Rob P. of Harlem, New York, grew up in a city where hip hop music was born and bred. Hip hop culture, jazz, and rhythm and blues was in his blood from birth.

Rob P. has been grinding nonstop, he has worked with prominent producers such as Superstar O of Diamond Style Productions, Platinum Boy Music general manager, Jason Bourne A.K.A. Basquiats Mind, and social media public relations representative, Helene Leseur. These people gave him the tools he needed to take him to new heights in his career. “I learned how important my image was pertaining to my music. It was important for my music to be heard by as many people as possible. DJ Freddy B of Hot 97 has been the most help for my career thus far. As far as public relations, international radio broadcastings, and any other connections I need, he makes it happen for me,”

After releasing Set the Mood Right in 2012, Rob P. knew that he wanted to dig even deeper. “I wanted to make sure I had a healthy fan base. My main goal was to get as many people to hear my music as possible,” he said. Rob P. is currently working on his EP which will be released this year 12/20/2016, entitled Shawtyfilms.
